5 GHz to 20 GHz Bypassable Amplifier
The AM1067 is a high dynamic range bypassable amplifier covering the 5 GHz to 20 GHz frequency range. The device provides high gain, low bypass insertion loss, and a moderate positive gain-slope providing frequency equalization useful in many broadband applications. Packaged in a 4mm QFN with internal 50Ω matching and requiring a single positive control voltage, the AM1067 represents a dramatic size reduction over a discrete implementation of a bypassable amplifier.
The AM1067 is one of three 5 GHz to 20 GHz amplifiers offered by Mercury. The other two members of this family include the gain block AM1053 and the bypassable gain block with an isolation state AM1077. This family offers low noise figure, high third order intercept performance, and excellent gain stability over the operating temperature range.
The AM1067 is also part of Mercury’s catalog of bypassable amplifiers ranging from DC to 26.5 GHz. In this family there is the AM1065 that covers DC to 8 GHz with higher gain, the AM1081 that covers DC to 8 GHz with high P1dB and IP3, and the AM1075 that covers 5 GHz to 26.5 GHz. In addition to these the AM1073 offers bi-directional performance while still being bypassable covering DC to 8 GHz.
Evaluation board includes SMA input and output connectors and SMA voltage input unless otherwise requested. AM1067 evaluation board also includes DIP switch for control of bypass function. This switch is included with the evaluation board unless otherwise requested. Evaluation board includes AM1067.
